X's
Dr. Seuss is famous for his "X"
creations. His ability to appeal to a xenophile (one attracted to foreign
things) and his lessons for those with Xenophobia (fear or maybe even
hatred of strangers or of anything that is foreign to them) are apparent in all
of his creations. However, one of my favorite examples comes from If I
Ran The Zoo:
With X's that win
And with Zeros that lose.

I've never heard of that one. Is the whole book a lesson on Xenophobia?
Michael - so many of his works could be a lesson on xenophobia, but this one seems particularly cued to that purpose.

I'm not very familiar with Dr. Seuss apart from The Grinch and the Cat in the Hat (??) but this is very cool that you've managed to find such an interesting topic for X. It wasn't easy!!

That's such an original choice. I do love the Dr Seuss books. I remember they got one of my brothers reading when all the boring school reading schemes failed. Enjoyed introducing The Cat in the Hat and co to my own children as well.
