I want to teach my children to have a close relationship with our Lord and Savior. Prayer habits that last a lifetime are most often formed in childhood. As adults model meaningful prayer lives, kids will learn how they, too, can talk to their Creator. That’s why each day this month I will be writing a prayer inspired by a different letter of the alphabet and sharing an accompanying verse from the Bible.
Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
1 Timothy 6:11
Dear God, I know that a quality relationship with You is imperative if I am to have a quality relationship with others. Help me to avoid complacency and always pursue those virtues that are lovely and pleasing in Your eyes. Amen.

Very well said. Thank you for this. :)
This has been on my mind lately. Great post - timely, at least for me :)

Quality is what I chose for my Q post also. I am enjoying your focused prayers so much, Sylvia. Thank you!
Blessings!
Amen! Great post. :D
I've just read through your A-Z posts and they are very inspiring. Prayer is so important.
I also checked out your Free Reads page and read your "I've Had a Great Time But This Wasn't It" story. I ended up reading a few of the others too but yours was WOW! I wasn't expecting that twist ending at all. It amazed me that you could twist the story so quickly (like that knife, I suppose.) You are a very gifted writer. Glad I had time today to stop by and check out what's happening over here.
Many Blessings,
Jenn

Lovely prayer thank you.
I think "pursue" was one of Paul's favorite words. I guess it does have a lot to do with faith.
I want to say THANK YOU for your theme of teaching children about the Lord.
I am now a follower and I will be looking forward to many more great posts by you.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. You should definitely come back tomorrow as my post is about religion.

Thank you all for stopping by, reading and encouraging me on this journey. You are all blessings in your own way and I look forward to visiting with you in the future!
Hi Sylvia,
I for one pray daily to Jehovah and I know he is my best friend forever. I pray for Holy spirit for those times when I just need more help. It is a blessing to have such a great friend in the grand creator. (Psalm 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
Thanks for sharing:)
What a great blog. In my all my crazy its nice to have something to help bring me back to true perspective.
Hi Sylvia. Great sharing for A-Z. It's so important to teach our children well, but also to demonstrate our beliefs in our everyday lives.
