Quality: Pursuing Virtue

I want to teach my children to have a close relationship with our Lord and Savior. Prayer habits that last a lifetime are most often formed in childhood. As adults model meaningful prayer lives, kids will learn how they, too, can talk to their Creator. That’s why each day this month I will be writing a prayer inspired by a different letter of the alphabet and sharing an accompanying verse from the Bible.

Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
1 Timothy 6:11

Dear God, I know that a quality relationship with You is imperative if I am to have a quality relationship with others. Help me to avoid complacency and always pursue those virtues that are lovely and pleasing in Your eyes. Amen.

I've just read through your A-Z posts and they are very inspiring. Prayer is so important.

I also checked out your Free Reads page and read your "I've Had a Great Time But This Wasn't It" story. I ended up reading a few of the others too but yours was WOW! I wasn't expecting that twist ending at all. It amazed me that you could twist the story so quickly (like that knife, I suppose.) You are a very gifted writer. Glad I had time today to stop by and check out what's happening over here.

Many Blessings,

Jenn

Lovely prayer thank you.

I think "pursue" was one of Paul's favorite words. I guess it does have a lot to do with faith.

Hi Sylvia,
I for one pray daily to Jehovah and I know he is my best friend forever. I pray for Holy spirit for those times when I just need more help. It is a blessing to have such a great friend in the grand creator. (Psalm 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
Thanks for sharing:)

Hi Sylvia. Great sharing for A-Z. It's so important to teach our children well, but also to demonstrate our beliefs in our everyday lives.

Thanks for finding/following RomanticFridayWriters. I hope you'll lurk awhile but then join in our challenges which happen fortnightly. Great for improving our writing.
