It’s time for another group posting of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group! founded by Alex J. Cavanaugh. Time to release our fears to the world – or offer encouragement to those who are feeling neurotic. If you’d like to join us, click on the tab above and sign up. We post the first Wednesday of every month. Your words might be the encouragement someone needs. You can also join us on twitter using the hashtag #IWSG, or on the Facebook page.
Now, IWSG hosts have changed up the format in an effort to make it more fun and interactive.Every month, they will announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG Day post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say.

January QUESTION: What started you on your writing journey? Was it a particular book, movie, story, or series? Was it a teacher/coach/spouse/friend/ parent? Did you just "know" suddenly you wanted to write?
MY ANSWER: My cousin and I were playing "school". She was the teacher, I was the student, and she gave me a creative writing assignment. I don't remember the actual "assignment", but I do remember thinking This is it...I love writing! I've been a scribe since then.
What about you? What started your own writing journey?

That's a nice story! I had a friend turn me on to writing when I was 8 and I started drawing my own picture books.
Then it's a good thing you took the role of student!
Cute story and great you were the student. Me and my friends always played doctor & nurse until my mother caught us with the plastic thermometer. Back then, there were no oral thermometers.
That is so cool! My sister, cousin, and I used to play vivid scenarios, too. We even used to record them on a stereo. haha
Good for you, Sylvia! Bravo for thinking positively and continuing in your choice of a writing profession. All the best in 2020! http://victoriamarielees.blogspot.com/
That's funny; my siblings and I used to play school also, but I was always the teacher, probably because I was the oldest.
This can make customers feel appreciated, and it might even increase your sales if you send them a birthday discount code!satta king
