Sylvia Ney resides in southeast Texas with her husband, two daughters and miniature dachshund.
She is a published author who sometimes ghostwrites for others. She has published poetry, short stories, essays, newspaper articles and photography.
She began writing as a young child. In high school she wrote for the school newspaper, becoming Editor her senior year. She also published articles in her community newsletter and published her first poem in a national anthology by the time she was 18.
Sylvia continued writing for her college newspaper, working her way up to another Editor position her senior year.
After graduation she continued her love of writing by inspiring young authors. She taught writing for seven years including Journalism, Newspaper, Yearbook, Broadcasting, Photography, Screenwriting and Creative Writing classes.
She quit teaching after the birth of her first child in 2007. She is now a stay-at-home mom who enjoys writing in her spare time.
