Under Construction

Two days ago I decided to begin making some changes to my blog. My banner and name will stay the same. However, I decided to add a few pages based on suggestions and requests. To see more about those or to make your own contributions, please see my previous post.

Though my time has been limited, you can already see a few of my updates including three new pages that are still under construction.

1.) Writing Samples - links to some of my work.
2.) For Writers - Tips, exercises and links.
3.) Reader Fun - Photos, comments and reviews.

There will be more to come soon. Please bear with me as I make some changes and feel free to add your two cents worth. I'm here to learn as well as teach and share.  Happy Writing!

Hi, Sylvia. You're doing a wonderful job. I've been blogging for a couple of years. My second book will be coming out soon, and I've added a new blog for that book, not quite ready to share it.

Just wondering how you get the pages? I suppose you have to go with a domain? Let me know, when you have time, that is. You can email me at loreleibell4@gmail.com, or you can answer it here on your blog.

Lorelei - it's actually pretty easy if you are using blogspot.

Click on "Design" in the upper right corner of the screen. Then click on "Posting" on the left side of the page. Under "Posting" you'll get three options, click on "Edit Pages". Then click the blue "New Page" button. You'll get a page just like you are adding a post. This will become your new page. When you are finished with your new page, simply save it. Repeat for however many pages you want to create.

To manipulate or move the order of your pages go back to "Design". In your page elements, you'll see the bar for "Pages" and click "edit". Simply drag and drop them in the order you want them to appear.

To make changes to a page, simply repeat the process as if you were adding a new page, but click on the page itself instead of "New Page."

I hope this helps. I'll email it to you, but wanted to leave it here for anyone else who wanted to know. Best of luck!

Gosh, thanks Sylvia. This sounds simple enough. I just didn't know how to find it.

Thanks! And I'll look for your email.

You're a good woman Sylvia, I've been meaning to google to find out how to do this, but now I don't have to. Thank you.

This reminds me of the story of the cat who ate the cheese, and waited for the mice with baited breath.
Not that I'm a cheese-eating cat. But I can Bearly wait to see the new developments.

Sounds great!
I've reconstructed my blog sooooo many times. Hours upon hours have been spent redesigning my blog and I still want to do changes. Good luck! It sounds like you will be doing some major changes.

These changes all sound very interesting, Sylvia. Writing samples and reviews--Great. And I think everyone likes photos. I know I do.

Like you, I've been thinking also about how to make my blog more interesting, so your post has spurred me on!

Be seeing you later in the great book giveaway.
