It’s time for another group posting of the Insecure Writer’s Support Group! founded by Alex J. Cavanaugh. Time to release our fears to the world – or offer encouragement to those who are feeling neurotic. If you’d like to join us, click on the tab above and sign up. We post the first Wednesday of every month. Your words might be the encouragement someone needs. You can also join us on twitter using the hashtag #IWSG, or on the Facebook page.
Now, IWSG hosts have changed up the format in an effort to make it more fun and interactive. Every month, they will announce a question that members can answer in their IWSG Day post. These questions may prompt you to share advice, insight, a personal experience or story. Include your answer to the question in your IWSG post or let it inspire your post if you are struggling with something to say.
Don’t forget to visit others that day to see their answers. Want to join, or learn more? Visit our - Sign-up List.
The July 6 question - What's the best thing(s) someone has ever said about your writing?
For me, personally:
1) One teacher I admire told me a story I was working to complete was worthy of winning a HUGO!
2) One reader left a review of "Broken Angel" on goodreads comparing me to Elmore Leonard!
3) Every time a reader tells me they've enjoyed a story, and can't wait to read the next one!

Those are excellent things to have someone say about your writing! Elmore Leonard is quite the comparison!
Those comments would cause a glow for a long time. Or the fact that anyone actually sat down and spent some of his or her precious time reading something I put out. Amazing! (Love the comparison!)
Wahoo! Wait, was that teacher on the Hugo board? I love it. I love the question this month and the focus. So many good vibes going around.
Worthy to win a Hugo? That's awesome!
Eat up those compliments! They are the food creativity needs.
I love that you are so inspired by your compliments. That's their purpose - to make a great writer keep writing! Go for it!
All three worthy kudos (especially Elmore Leonard!). Now I find myself missing Justified . . .
Well done! I think I like the "great story, can't wait to read the next one" the best. It sounds the most honest without being over the top, and the biggest compliment I look for is just to hear someone liked my work.

those are good boosts. Any little acknowledgment helps.
