I love the choices you show here. Recently I watched "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and I thought that was very well done.
Shawshank is on my list, too. I love the movies based on the books by Janette Oke.
i love phantom... shhhh, don't tell anyone i am into musicals.

Some similar choices to me here, and if they're not on my list, they were thought of! :D

Awesome way to do your list. Of course, Princess Bride is ruling this blogfest. It's good to meet you! :)
Stopping by from the Hop. Love Princess Bride. Enjoyed the sexiness of Phantom - and Gerry Butler. ;-) Emmy Rossum's an AMAZING singer.
Classic list here! I love the Princess Bride and Shawshank.

Nice list. Wow, I haven't seen Fried Green Tomatoes in forever.
Good choices. To Kill a Mockingbird, Mystic River and The Last of the Mohicans--love them all as movies. TKAM is one of the greatest books and movies ever. Mystic River is a great book, too, but I barely squeaked through reading TLOTM. The story and characters were wonderful, but that 19th century style -- oh, no.
I forgot about Last of the Mohicans. This is such an amazing movie.
Last of the Mohicans! Forgot that one. And Princess Bride just missed my top ten.
Thanks for participating in my blogfest.
Wonderful selections. It has been awhile since I have seen Fried Green Tomatoes - great movie!
Great choices. I've seen and enjoyed them all with the exception of the Phantom which I boycotted because Webber didn't give the lead role to Michael Crawford.
Great list - loved The Colour Purple, and Mystic River was one of the most amazing (yet terribly sad) films I've ever seen (loved the soundtrack too, which I own). Fried Green Tomatoes rocks. Love Shawshank too. Of course I love Oz, and the Princess Bride is one of my all-time faves. I haven't even seen Phantom (except as a play many years ago), but did recently read it. :)
I love Mohicians and Phantom too. I really love the movie Les Miserables, but don't think I'd make it through the book.
Great list! I would have to go with "Lord of the Rings" as one of the best adaptations. :3
