SEPTEMBER QUESTION - Do you have a favorite character archetype you tend to gravitate toward in your writing?
MY ANSWER - I don't think I have one archetype that I gravitate toward, but I've noticed I usually have at least one character who is oblivious to some fact that other characters pick up on faster. I think I do this because I have so often felt like I was clueless about something or someone.

I agree with Alex. Clueless characters can lead to some interesting situations.
Haha! That cluelessness, that was me to a T as a teenager, but usually in a good way. I hope I've grown out of that and am more perceptive with more life experience, but hey, you don't know what you don't know, eh?
Clueless Character... that should be archetype on its own.
Yeah, the one clueless character in the group can be fun! And if you write something like fantasy or Sci-Fi, you can use that clueless character as an excuse to explain important world building stuff to the reader.
Happy IWSG day and I like the idea of one character who is day dreaming (or stupid?) to such an extent that they miss out on what's going on.
