Sad Classics

For the most part, I prefer "Happily Ever After" endings. However, I've noticed lately that I keep returning to some not-so HEA classics. I've caught myself returning to these sad tales a lot more over the last few years, and not just for teaching purposes. Some of my repeat reads include:
