Photo Sessions

About a month ago, I talked about my plans to create an author website - you can read that post here. In the article I mentioned using your photo, an idea that is very difficult for some of us introverts to get used to. My husband and a friend have both taken some photos of me, and I thought I would let you choose which one(s) I might use on the official website. Below are eight nominees. The first two are the ones I use on this blog and the others are new shots. Please comment below with your choice. Thank you for your help!

  1. I vote for #5. Second choice would be #1.

  2. I'm partial to #2 because hats are awesome and your smile looks especially excited. I like #8 a lot too though. It has a lot of personality and sparkle.

  3. First choice #4 as it looks more professional and the backup photo in your 'About the author' could be either #5 or #2 as they show your casual side, a more approachable look. You must determine what first impression you want: professional, friendly and casual, or staged shots.

    Good Luck!

  5. Well, they all look good, but my favorite is still #2 with the hat. It's unique and distinctive.

  6. I like number 1. I think it looks the most natural.

  7. I like eight. It has personality, but still looks professional. But if somewhere on your writer website you want to feature other shots, one is nice because you look like family, a neighbor or a friend. Two ties into your blog and has a little flair with the hat. Five gives off a "it's just us, so let's talk" vibe. Four looks like it came straight out of a church roll album. And the others, I just don't like personally.
