Yep. Two of my flash fics were written to try to comfort my friends in minor crises.
I've been learning this writing in school. It scares me, but I am getting more comfortable with it.
I'm lucky to do this quite often as part of my PR day job. :)
I write a lot of things in the persuasive vein. When I write about anything that is close to my heart, like respecting veterans, my faith, etc. I care so deeply that I cannot help but assume such a tone.
