I did bake a lovely apple pie though. :)KM Nallehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06714392426676743868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32407491425448969.post-7728349216538363962011-07-05T16:47:58.319-07:002011-07-05T16:47:58.319-07:00I love the tradition. Packing food and snacks and chairs and enjoying nice evening with family and kids with fellow townmates while enjoying the fireworks and feeling proud for "Land of the free and home of the brave".
They cancelled the fireworks in our city too blaming the recession. But main reason is violence by these macho gangsta who bring guns and machete to show their valor and fight and ruin a nice evening.
Instead of blaming budget they could charge some money for fireworks ,thereby they could weedout these machos and yet celebrate and let enjoy and feel proud and feel lucky for being in wonderful nation of the world.mamtchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01695425892749695527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32407491425448969.post-57837697025090226882011-07-04T21:21:24.478-07:002011-07-04T21:21:24.478-07:00The Education Tipster and I hope you and your fami...The Education Tipster and I hope you and your family had a wonderful Independence day celebration despite the lack of fireworks.anthony stemkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15666462157746049139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32407491425448969.post-22217514748936062882011-07-04T18:06:56.868-07:002011-07-04T18:06:56.868-07:00I love fireworks! We had a very wet spring and our summer has had its weather ups and downs, but today is beautiful.
We celebrated yesterday so today will be a quiet day. Hope you can enjoy your Fourth of July!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14858720522828231380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32407491425448969.post-52765426776238992392011-07-04T06:33:47.263-07:002011-07-04T06:33:47.263-07:00Quiet 4th for us today. We just rounded out of drought two years ago. Our lake was down 20 feet and became dangerous to navigate. Things are back to normal now, although the skies are still very stingy with rain. (So I guess I better not complain about it if it pours today.)Lisa Ricard Clarohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05048410207952052295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32407491425448969.post-51190465121079173272011-07-03T22:16:52.817-07:002011-07-03T22:16:52.817-07:00Happy Independence Day!

(You may recall Will and Kate got married at the end of April; this was their first official overseas trip.) I've to more on my blog, including a couple of pics.
Sorry about the fireworks ban. Seems so terribly un-American to have a Fourth of July with no fireworks. Still, when you're hot, you're hot, and you have to make allowances.Rob-bearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00171692478879522588noreply@blogger.com
